November 2016 Newsletter – Part 2
Let’s start this month off with a BANG!
This time of year everyone wants to look and feel his or her absolute best, especially in front of the camera! There is nothing worse than seeing a photo from the night before where your lipstick is smudged across your face or your eyebrows are decidedly wonkier than you thought when you so painstakingly drew them on before you left the house… Yes, we have ALL been there!
Permanent Make-up can be a fantastic way to fix these little nuances that can have a big effect on our self esteem as well as being a life-saver for busy people who don’t always have the time to apply a lot of make-up or simply prefer the natural yet defined look. Someone who knows all about balancing life with work is Leah Hatt (Van Zyl).
Leah, originally from South Africa, has built a successful Photography Business here in London (http://www.leahvanzyl.com/) and with a combination of raw talent, warmth and a magnetic personality it is no wonder she makes you feel so at ease in front of the lens.
You can see how much fun we all had at my Mayfair clinic when she photographed our Macmillan Cake Morning on 30th September. It really is a fantastic way to get people together and help raise funds for a wonderful cause:
Just like any busy mum juggling a career and parenthood can be really hard and time is incredibly precious!
Before visiting Geraldine’s clinic, Leah had visited a few different Permanent Make-up clinics near to where she lives but was not completely satisfied with her eyebrow results. Although behind the camera most days, Leah is someone who is constantly meeting new people and feeling confident in our appearance can have a great effect on how we perform in our working lives.
Leah, here is speaking to us about her Permanent Eyebrow Procedure and Experience with Geraldine:
Why did you decide to have Permanent Make-up on your Eyebrows?
I have always had very light hair in that area which has meant that they tended to just blend in to my skin. I was keen to have more prominent eyebrows that were noticeable, in the right way, but I just didn’t have the time to spend 30 minutes every morning pencilling them on, making sure that they looked even but also natural. I also have a young son and I can be confident now that when we go swimming together at home or on holiday my eyebrows look great and are not ‘coming off!’ Pencils and other eyebrow products are never completely waterproof so it is very hard to trust them and you can never achieve a natural hair-stroke appearance.
How was your experience with Geraldine?
Wonderful! She is very personable and an incredibly kind person. She genuinely cares so much about what she does and that really comes across during your time with her. I never felt rushed during my appointments with her.
How has having the procedure helped you?
It has saved me heaps of time in the morning and I love that ‘wake up and go’ feeling. Permanent Make-up really is the future of make-up.
Why would you recommend Permanent Make up to anyone thinking about doing it?
It has so many benefits and if you are a busy mum like me, then time is important to you. Having one less thing to worry about everyday is a big relief. From someone who has visited a few different clinics, I would highly recommend you go straight to Geraldine because she really is the best at what she does and you will feel very comfortable in her company and her ability.
